Is it really the 10th Christmas party I’ve organised since the first ever one in 2010? I honestly can’t believe it. Back then we would gather in a pub every 2 weeks, around 3-5 of us, and then we had our first Christmas party where almost 20 people turned up.
Now we have around 30 people come to the monthly meet-ups every month, and over 50 attending the annual parties.
I’ve been wanting to throw a fancy black tie ball ever since we hit the 5 year mark, and so what a better time to do it than for this event.
Here are the details of this event in a nutshell:
^ The Pavilion, Portsmouth
Well, I don’t like to do things by halves, so included in your ticket price is:
^ Swing 4 All dance group
Dress to impress! Think dressing up for a wedding, or a black tie event! The music will be 50s rock/jazz/swing to keep you dancing into the night! There will be opportunity for some swing dancing too.
I’ve been organising both the annual Christmas parties and Summer parties for 10 years, and whilst I absolutely love them, it’s not viable time/cost wise anymore. It’s become increasingly difficult to secure sponsors to keep the events cheap/free and 10 years feels like a good stopping point for me!
That’s not to say there won’t be any events in the future, and the monthly meet ups will still continue, but a break is needed at this point.
It would be absolutely amazing to see as many of you there as possible, as we’ve all met a lot of people and made a lot of friends over the years! Grab a ticket, or give me a shout on joanna@pfmeet.co.uk or social media if you have any questions, suggestions, or ideas!
